A LITTLE GESTURE

A Little Gesture, A Great Help (ALG) is a registered UK Charity, supporting underprivileged school-age children and their families in Mozambique.
The Mac Bevan Charitable Trust’s funding supports ALG’s Escolinha Santa Catarina Pre-School in Chongoene, providing early years education for 50 children. Our grant helps fund essential running costs including school supplies, daily meals and the salary costs of dedicated teaching and support staff.
Our grant is also helping to fund a programme of initiatives which deepen the support offered to families. This includes the distribution of farming kits (including seeds and basic farming equipment) to children’s families, pre-school equipment (including toys, reading books and sports equipment) and an after class tutoring support programme for children going on to primary school.
